Tomorrow, June 17th, Shoreline will join 1,400+ churches from around the world in fasting and prayer. Give something up for the whole day to focus on praying. What would happen if believers from all over the globe came together to impact the world like never before? Well, we’re about to find out. Over 1,300 churches, representing over 750,000 people, are participating in this worldwide event.
Today kicked off a four-week series for ONE PRAYER, started by Pastor Craig Groeschel. If you missed it, you may either download the message off Shoreline’s web site or attend the Tuesday night service at McGuire’s.
The first message in this series was “Lord, Make Us One.” This is from John 17:20-23: “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” Pastor Eric gave three “ONEs” that unify the church: one enemy, one heart, and one purpose.

Two Shoreline surfer girls, Michaela Partin and Lindsay Barfield, are going on a mission trip to Indonesia this summer. (Read the May 30th article in The Destin Log.)
To help cover the costs associated with the trip, a fundraiser is being held June 1st-7th at Graffiti in The Village of Baytowne Wharf. If you mention the fundraiser, the restaurant will donate 15% of your bill.

Youth camp at Camp Kulaqua is coming up! Registration deadline is June 22. HOWEVER, if you register by today, June 2, you’ll save $20. To pre-pay and save some money, you’ll need to go by the church office no later than 4:30 PM to pay by either check or credit card. Call 650-8658 for directions. As for the study Darlene and I are leading, we’ll kick off our group using Joyce Meyer’s “Battlefield of the Mind” DVDs. This series will expose wrong ways of thinking and help you renew your mind with the truth of God’s Word. For those of you who attended Darlene’s “Shine” brunch in 2007, “Battlefield of the Mind” was one of the books she recommended reading. It’s going to be good!
Ladies Night is fun, but aren’t you ready for something a little deeper? Everyone should experience the intimacy shared and the lifelong friendships that are developed during a Bible study. This summer, Shoreline is offering two Bible studies just for ladies. Barbara will lead one on Monday nights using Kay Arthur material. Darlene and I (Lori) will co-lead one on Thursday mornings using Joyce Meyer material. I encourage you to attend the one that works best with your schedule and let this be the summer you take it to the next level, both spiritually and relationally.
