I’m not sure which Kay Arthur study Barbara is leading, but you can call her to find out: 974-2282.

As for the study Darlene and I are leading, we’ll kick off our group using Joyce Meyer‘s “Battlefield of the Mind” DVDs. This series will expose wrong ways of thinking and help you renew your mind with the truth of God’s Word. For those of you who attended Darlene’s “Shine” brunch in 2007, “Battlefield of the Mind” was one of the books she recommended reading. It’s going to be good!

Summer Bible Study with Darlene & Lori

May 22nd, 2008

Ladies Night is fun, but aren’t you ready for something a little deeper? Everyone should experience the intimacy shared and the lifelong friendships that are developed during a Bible study. This summer, Shoreline is offering two Bible studies just for ladies. Barbara will lead one on Monday nights using Kay Arthur material. Darlene and I (Lori) will co-lead one on Thursday mornings using Joyce Meyer material. I encourage you to attend the one that works best with your schedule and let this be the summer you take it to the next level, both spiritually and relationally.

Shoreline Church’s first home church is about to become a reality over 2,800 miles away from Destin. The Coast Guard is relocating the Alley family to Astoria, Oregon. They leave tomorrow to travel across the country. While preparing to move the past few months, Justin and Jana searched for a church online. As they became frustrated at so few prospects, they began to think about bringing Shoreline with them.  Several meetings and conversations with Pastor Eric later, it’s official: Shoreline will soon have a home church! Please pray for the Alley family and the people in Astoria as they set out on this new adventure.

Eight-year-old Gianni Toce, who attends Shoreline Church, was in a firework accident May 11.  He’s now in a coma at a Pensacola hospital and in critical condition.  A prayer vigil, led by Pastor Eric, will be held tomorrow (May 14) evening from 7:00-7:30 at the Kelly Plantation owners club.  All are welcome to attend.
