Today was the fourth and final message in the ONE PRAYER series. Pastor Eric was back and his prayer was “Lord, Make Us Real.” (If you missed it, you can download it off Shoreline’s web site or catch it Tuesday night at McGuire’s.) What did you think of this series?

Today was the third message in the ONE PRAYER series. Dino Rizzo, senior pastor of Healing Place in Baton Rouge, was the guest speaker. His prayer was “Lord, Make Us Extremely Generous.” (If you missed it, you can download it off Shoreline’s web site or catch it Tuesday night at McGuire’s.) An offering was collected to plant 500 new churches in Cambodia, India, Sudan, and China! More details can be found on ONE PRAYER.com.

Today was the second message in the ONE PRAYER series. Chris Hodges, senior pastor of Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, was the guest speaker filling in for Pastor Eric. His prayer was “Lord, Make Us Authentic.” If you missed it, you can download it off Shoreline’s web site or catch it Tuesday night at McGuire’s. I’d recommend the second of those two options because the band rocked out some sweet U2 covers!

What would happen if believers from all over the globe came together to impact the world like never before? Well, we’re about to find out. Over 1,300 churches, representing over 750,000 people, are participating in this worldwide event.

Today kicked off a four-week series for ONE PRAYER, started by Pastor Craig Groeschel. If you missed it, you may either download the message off Shoreline’s web site or attend the Tuesday night service at McGuire’s.

The first message in this series was “Lord, Make Us One.” This is from John 17:20-23: “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” Pastor Eric gave three “ONEs” that unify the church: one enemy, one heart, and one purpose.

Again, if you missed it, be sure to catch up before the June 15th message.

Pick up today’s issue of the Northwest Florida Daily News. Open up the Faith section and turn to page 2. There’s a nice article about our “Pay It Forward” series. Also, there are some fantastic stories on http://www.thisispayingitforward.com/. Have you added yours yet?

Doing good at doing good. Although grammatically incorrect, that was the title of yesterday’s message, which was part of the “Pay It Forward” series. If you missed it, I urge you to download the message (http://shorelinechurch.net/audio.html). The scriptures referenced were Hebrews 10:24, 2 Thessalonians 3:13, Matthew 5:16, Titus 3:8, 1 Timothy 6:18-19, and Romans 12:20-21.  The common theme in these scriptures is DOING GOOD DEEDS. Pastor Eric challenged everyone to “pay it forward” in the community. Then he shocked the congregation by doing something unexpected and extraordinary. He gave an entire week’s offering ($7,100 to be exact) back to the people!  Sealed envelopes were distributed with cash ranging from $5 to $400. A few suggestions on how to spend the money? Pay someone else’s bills. Give to charity. Fill up someone’s gas tank. Buy someone’s groceries. Change the world. He only gave four rules. One: You can’t spend it on yourself. Two: You can’t give it back to Shoreline Church. Three: Do something for someone else (if they can’t do it themselves, even better). Four: Tell us what you did at http://www.thisispayingitforward.com/. So… what are you waiting for? Pay it forward, then let us know what you did!
