We will be having Leadership Pipeline TONIGHT, June 19, at 7:00 pm at the Destin Community Center. Leadership Pipeline is for ministry leaders and volunteers. We discuss leadership principles and how we can do ministry together. Childcare will be provided in the Hogeboom Room. Please email Esther Yost to let her know if you will be attending and if you have children you will be bringing. Thanks and we hope to see you there.

Shoreline is looking for people able and willing to lead a life group this summer. It’s a three-month commitment (June - August). Groups can meet weekly, twice a month, once a month - whatever you want. We’d like a couple Bible studies, as well as activity- or hobby-based groups. If you’ve never led a Bible study before, I can understand having some hesitation. The church actually has DVD curriculum available that your group can use. “Leading” will be as easy as pushing “play” on your DVD player! For activity- or hobby-based groups, the list is limitless… dinner groups, breakfast groups, scrapbooking, games, exercise… you name it! If there’s an activity you enjoy doing, chances are someone else enjoys it, too. There’s no experience necessary. If you have an idea, contact Lori (lori@saczynski.com or 217-9495) to discuss. Please note that MAY 4TH is the deadline!

Last weekend was the Destin Christmas parade. We didn’t have a float this year, but we were there in style! Who attended?

Last night was the ladies Christmas party at Another Broken Egg Cafe. We had 25 ladies show up. It was fun! Visit Shoreline’s gallery to see photos… http://www.shorelinechurch.net/gallery.html

Our Christmas service will be on Sunday, December 23. We expect a lot of people to attend. If you can help out in the nursery or preschool class during one of the services, please call Darlene (502-1099). Also, we have cute invitations to give to your friends and family. Pick them up tomorrow and pass them out this week.

This Christmas, Shoreline is partnering with the Walden family (photo below) and their state-wide organization that provides foster homes for disabled individuals. We will be purchasing and delivering gifts to these children and individuals as well as offering encouragement during a season when they are often ignored, even by their own families. Each gift also presents an opportunity to share the love and hope of Christ. Gift tags are available in the lobby with a requested item as well as any necessary instructions.

Darlene’s Shine brunch was created for the women who serve at Shoreline Church.  Serving can be anything from greeting to working in the nursery to being a life group leader… the list goes on and on.  As of now, we have 60+ ladies volunteering in some aspect.  That’s a pretty awesome percentage of the women who attend Sunday morning services!  Anyway, the purpose of Shine is to empower, encourage, and inspire the women who serve.  The next brunch is December 1st @ 9:30 AM.  If you weren’t aware of the last brunch or have recently started serving, please email me (lori@saczynski.com) so I can send you driving directions.  We don’t want any volunteers to be left out!

The purpose of Shoreline’s Care Force is to provide meals to families or individuals in need (illness, surgery recovery, new baby, financial hardship, death in family, etc).  This is an excellent way to show love to church members/attendees.

It works like this… whenever the church office is notified of a “meal” need, the entire Care Force is emailed regarding who needs the meals and when.  Having your name on the list indicates you’re willing and your response will indicate if you’re able (you would obviously not be expected to step up every time).  The longer the Care Force list, the better, so that we always have someone who can help in any given situation and so that it’s not always the same people delivering meals.

Please let me know if we can add your name to the list!  You can email me at lori@saczynski.com
